Information we collect

We collect the information you provide when you create an account and apply for an advertised post, together with limited technical information needed to keep the portal secure.

• Identity and contact details — name, father name, CNIC or passport number, date of birth, gender, email address, mobile number and postal address.
• Application content — academic qualifications, diplomas and certificates, employment history and any declarations required by the hiring organization.
• Documents you upload — your photograph and paid challan slips.
• Payment references — PSID, challan number and confirmation received from the payment channel. We do not receive or store your card or bank credentials.
• Technical information — log entries such as IP address, browser type and timestamps, used to protect accounts and diagnose faults.

How we use your information

• To register you as an applicant and let you sign in.
• To process applications, verify fee payments and allot test centres.
• To issue roll number slips, conduct assessments and publish results.
• To share the outcome of an assessment with the organization that advertised the post.
• To send service messages about your applications, payments and account.
• To detect misuse, prevent impersonation and meet legal obligations.

Sharing your information

We share information only where it is necessary:

• With the organization that advertised the post you applied for.
• With payment partners, strictly to confirm the fee against your PSID.
• With service providers who host or support the portal, under confidentiality obligations.
• Where required by law or a valid order from a competent authority.

We do not sell applicant information, and we do not share it for third-party marketing.

How long we keep it

Application records are retained for as long as needed to run the recruitment cycle, to answer queries or appeals about it, and to meet record-keeping requirements. Drafts you never submit are removed once the relevant project closes.

Security

Access to applicant records is restricted to authorised staff. Passwords are stored in hashed form, uploads are validated before being accepted, and portal activity is logged. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, so please keep your password private and use one you do not use elsewhere.

Your choices

• You can update your contact details at any time from User Profile.
• CNIC and account ID cannot be edited from the portal because they identify your records; contact support for corrections.
• You may request a copy of your application data, or ask us to correct inaccurate information, by emailing info@sts.org.pk.
• Service messages about active applications cannot be switched off while an application is in progress.

Cookies

The portal uses a session cookie to keep you signed in. It is removed when you sign out or when the session expires. We do not use advertising cookies.
